 Check It Out!

I have just added a new pattern to the sewing page. It turned out cuter in real life than it was in my mind! So, let me tell you about it. It is a checkerboard with checkers made out of fabric yo-yo's. It also has a cord that ties everything up in a neat little bundle! Cute! Cute! Cute! I did find that the Large Clover Yo-Yo Maker was the perfect size for the checkers. It sure was easier with the yo-yo maker than doing it the way grandma taught me! Now, I also made some checkers with milk caps inside the yo-yo's and found that the Yo-Yo maker didn't work with the milk caps. I did have to make the circles a little larger than indicated on the pattern to allow for the thickness of the milk caps but they really turned out cute! If you have milk drinkers in your house and come up with 32 milk caps for your checkers, drop me a line and I will give you the specifics for checkers with milk caps. Later, Georgie
