Mitchell called December 18th and let us know that he has been delayed a couple of days in Kuwait. He believes he will be headed home by December 22nd. So, keep the prayers coming, my baby is coming home! I was at school and missed the call so I didn't get to talk to him but he also called Max and Matthew. Dad and brother were both pleased to hear from him and neither of them felt the delay was anything to worry about, just part of the hurry up and wait that Mitchell has been through many times since joining the Air Force. Mitchell is still planning on being in Oklahoma around January 19th. Our Christmas celebration will be extended until the end of January! Love and prayers to all of you who are seperated from loved ones this Christmas Season.

What a wonderful surprise I received today! In my mail box was an advanced copy of my book! I spent all evening alternating between going through the book and calling friends and family telling them the book has arrived. My MIL was here when the book arrived and shared my excitement over the book. The book will be available most anywhere by February 1st. You will have to let me know what you think...now keep in mind this is my precious baby, that I am so proud of! Oh, I can't wait to share this with all of you!
I have got to go, me and my book need some time together!

Hello All,
My most recent project is an applique pattern that I call 'Santa Wrap'. Santa's looong hat wraps around your shoulders tossing the ball to the front. If you like to wear sweatshirts on cold winter days, you will love making one of these for the holiday season. I am in the process of making a child size version of the 'Santa Wrap'. I am going to be putting self-made chennille on all the 'furry' parts, it is turning out so very cute! This was how I envisioned 'Santa Wrap' before I made him but I just couldn't put all the extra fluff on parts of my body that are already fluffy enough. I am sure there are those of you who feel the same way but those of you who can handle a little fluff should try the chenille, I think you will like it.

Hello Friends,
You may have noticed that the website has made some dramatic changes! I am so excited to be able to make these changes and to be able to provide online sewing education. These changes have been forming in my mind for the past year or so but I was just not able to get it all pulled together while writing my book. Now that the book is complete and my 'Sewing With Nancy' programs have been taped and will be airing soon, I decided to implement the web site changes. I hope that you will all find the changes as exciting as I have.
As many of you know, I have created numerous patterns that were only used for one class and then filed away. I will be pulling out all of these wonderful projects, dusting them off and adding them to the Sew Educated Online Classroom. ... >> full...
