Cell Phone Purse

Materials Needed

¼ yard material

¼ yard lining

4 feet cording

embellishment (optional)

Directions

Cut out all pieces.

Mark lining piece for pocket placement and dots.

Mark purse with X’s for strap placement.

Add embellishment to the purse now. (optional) Fringe or trim around the top, should be added when purse is completed.

Fold down top of pocket and top stitch.

Press remaining edges of pocket under ¼”.

Stitch to pocket lining where indicated.

Fold lining on fold line and stitch un-notched edges, leaving open between dots.

Fold purse on fold line and stitch un-notched edges.

Baste straps in place, lining cut edge of strap with edge of purse.

Stitch lining to purse, right sides together, matching notches.

Turn right side out.

Press seam allowance of lining opening under and top stitch.

Tuck lining into purse, press along lining/purse seam.

Top stitch along top of purse.
